Graceday

Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026

Short version: Graceday keeps your Bible reading, prayers and notes on your phone. There is no account, no ads and no tracking. The only things that leave your phone are a question you choose to send with Ask and, if you buy Pro on the web, what Stripe needs to take the payment.

What stays on your phone

Your reading streak, reading plans, prayer journal, notes, highlights, settings, your answers to the welcome questions, your free-week and Pro status, and a count of today's Ask questions are saved only on your device. We never receive them. Deleting the app (or clearing this site's data in your browser) deletes them.

What leaves your phone: Ask questions

When you tap Ask, Graceday sends four things to our server (graceday-api.smarttechbuying.com): your question, the Bible translation you read, a few matching public-domain Bible verses found on your phone, and a random ID number made on your phone. The random ID isn't linked to your name, email or Apple or Google account. It's only used to count how many questions were asked from your device today and, if you buy Pro, to remember which devices your Pro key is on.

Our server passes your question and those verses to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, to write the answer. Anthropic handles that information under its own Commercial Terms and Privacy Policy.

We do not save your questions or the answers. Our server keeps only a daily count of questions per random ID and a total count for the day, in memory, and these reset. Like most websites, our host may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses and times of requests) for security.

Your prayers, notes, highlights and journal are never sent. Please don't type names or private details into Ask.

What we don't do

Reminders

If you choose a daily reminder, your phone schedules it on the device. No reminder data is sent to us.

Buying Graceday Pro on the web

On the web and in the Graceday Windows app, Pro is sold through Stripe Managed Payments, so Stripe is the seller of record. You pay on Stripe's own checkout page, and Stripe collects your email, card and billing details there under its own Privacy Policy. We never see your card details.

To turn Pro on, our server asks Stripe about your checkout and subscription: the plan, whether it's paid, and until when. We don't save or log the other purchase details in Stripe's reply. We save a Pro key and up to 3 of the random device IDs described above as notes on your subscription at Stripe, so the key can turn Pro on on your other devices. On your device, Graceday keeps only the key, the plan and the paid-until date, and once a day it checks with our server that the subscription is still paid.

In the phone and tablet apps, purchases aren't open yet. When they are, that app store will handle the payment.

Children

Graceday is made for adults and teens. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
